Scandinavian Folk Magic

4 week Program 

Trolldom is a kind of folk magic. Folk magic means rituals/processes that are used in your everyday life, things that work. This is not so much about esoteric teachings, pantheons, and theory building. Trolldom itself is a very old word in Swedish and other Scandinavian languages, which had different connotations over the years.

So how does it differ from Asatru? Well, Asatru and Heathenry are more inclined towards religion and trolldom is not. Trolldom practitioners do things for health, for love, for economy and wellbeing. A trolldom practitioner does not so much use deities so to speak, it’s more interaction with the beings that surround you, more animistic.
