Ash is a compassionate and intuitive death doula, guiding individuals and their loved ones through the sacred transition of death with reverence, peace, and presence. In her role, she serves as a spiritual companion, providing emotional, physical, and practical support for those nearing the end of life. Drawing on her deep connection to nature, spirituality, and the cycles of life and death, Ash helps those she serves approach this final journey with grace, understanding, and a sense of sacredness.
Her approach as a death doula is rooted in the belief that death is not an ending but a transformation—a natural and inevitable part of life’s cycle. Inspired by ancient traditions and rituals surrounding death, she views this transition as a deeply spiritual process, one that deserves respect and honor. With a gentle, intuitive touch, Ash helps individuals and families create meaningful rituals, offering comfort, peace, and clarity in what can often be an overwhelming and emotional time.
Ash’s work is holistic, addressing not only the physical aspects of dying but also the emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of both the person passing and their loved ones. She creates a safe, nurturing space where feelings of fear, anxiety, and grief can be expressed and processed, ensuring that every person involved feels supported and heard. Through her deep understanding of the mysteries of life and death, she offers a sense of calm, helping individuals find closure and meaning in their final days.
In addition to offering emotional and spiritual support, Ash also assists with end-of-life planning, including funeral preparations, legacy work, and helping loved ones navigate the practical aspects of death. She helps create a peaceful, personalized environment where the dying process can unfold naturally, allowing for moments of reflection, connection, and even celebration of life. Her presence is one of comfort and strength, offering both guidance and solace as families move through this profound experience.
As a death doula, Ash embraces the sacredness of the transition from life to death, viewing her role as both a privilege and a deep calling. Through her work, she helps people approach death with dignity and peace, honoring the journey with the same reverence and love that one might offer a birth. Her ability to hold space for both the dying and their families in this profound process of transformation makes her a deeply compassionate guide through one of life’s most sacred moments.
Ash trained as an Archaeologist, then went on to become a Certified End of Life Doula, Traumatic Loss support group facilitator with the BC Bereavement Helpline, and Jikiden Reiki Practitioner.
